My Family, boyfriend, and myself. Christmas 2014.

My name is Danielle Martinez. I am currently a sophomore at Texas State University pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Public Relations. Born and raised in College Station, Texas, I moved to San Marcos with my wonderful boyfriend, Lyndon LeUnes, in May 2014. Here in San Marcos I hope to build a platform in which I can develop my own event planning business. Through internships and experience I may be led into a different direction, but I am open to that. Determination is one of my strongest attributes and I love trying new things.

I have 3 awesome siblings and 2 supporting parents whom I love so dearly. Though I am away from my family, moving to San Marcos has been the best decision I have made thus far. San Marcos has allowed me to create myself and figure out what exactly I want in life. The opportunities are present, which I hope to take full advantage of. I am 23 years young and look forward to learning new things, discovering new places, and most importantly meeting new people.

I am involved in 2 organizations: Texas State Public Relations Student Society of America and Collegiate Entrepreneurial Organization. I serve as the Vice Chair of the PR Committee for PRSSA, which I have enjoyed. Being involved has shown me that the time you invest in yourself will show results! I have learned so much about my field of study and learned information that will be very helpful for my future. The College Entrepreneurial Organization (CEO) gives me access to networking within the business realm and be surrounded by fellow entrepreneurs. Both of these organizations will very beneficial for my future and I plan to join more organizations.

Gardening has been a very rewarding hobby and therapeutic during stressful times. I hope my blog provides useful information. If you don’t garden, why not try? Thanks for checking out my blog and enjoy!
